Hampton Court House and Gardens The other Hampton Court but no less impressive! For both adults and children. There is a maze, underground passage and grotto with waterfall to walk under. Everyone who goes there is so enthusiastic about it and we’d very much recommend it. Lunch in the Orangery is inexpensive and good. Not open all year round so check first. This is a really great place.
Hergest Croft Gardens Owned by a past secretary of the RHS. The Rhododendrons in Park Wood in May are spectacular.
Westonbury Water Mill Very close by as the crow flies though unfortunately you will have to go by road to get there. Water gardens featured previously on TV.
Croft Castle Interesting buildings and gardens. Fabulous walks in the woods and up on the common.
Ludlow Castle 11th century castle in stunning town.
Bryans Ground Simon Dorrell’s garden tucked away down small lane near Presteigne and very well regarded to those in the know. It’s a lovely interesting garden in Presteigne with wonderful Yew hedging. Only open at certain times or by appointment.
Eastnor Castle, Ledbury Medieval-type castle with lots to do!
Judges Lodgings Interesting place in lovely historic market town.
Berrington Hall Impressive National Trust property. Snow drops in January are fab.
